Description
Sycamore trees speckle the Louisiana Landscape. As a child the large seed balls were a favorite toy. I could burst them open and sprinkle fluff all over my yard. The hard center of the large ball could be used to play marbles. Kept whole the balls were perfect for pretending to play golf with the first stick I found that was just the perfect length to be my club. My friends and I pretended the balls were chocolate bon-bons at our tea parties. As I look to the top of the trees many wonderful memories of my childhood over a half century ago fills my heart with wonderful memories of my years along the Bayou Teche.
