Description
This beautiful Creole home from the 1700 century sits between the east and west bound lanes of Highway 190. It is part of Le Vieux Village, a small recreation of historical Acadiana. The recreated village is found in Opelousas, Louisiana the Parish Seat of St. Landry Parish. The home was donated to the village by Mrs. Edith Doucet Fontenot and her children in memory of her husband and the father of her children Earl Fontenot in hopes of preserving the French culture in Acadiana.
