St. Joseph's Methodist Church was built in1948 in the small village of Palmetto, Louisiana. It continued to serve its congregation until 1980. In 2000 it was donated to Le Vieux Village in Opelousas, Louisiana. The village is a museum of Acadiana architecture and culture and is located in the medium of Highway 190 and is popular with both tourist and residents of Acadiana. The village keeps Christmas lights on all its structures all year, but the lights are only turned on in December. The image was taken one early morning in June 2017.
