The beautiful parish of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church is a Jesuit parish located in Grand Coteau, Louisiana. This image features the back of the church which faces the Jesuit graveyard. The parish was founded in 1819. The statue of St. Joseph has a dedication beneath it written in French. The Cajun and Creole people of this area spoke French as their first language. The church is in a very small town in south central Louisiana.
