Description
Little Flower Auditorium is in Arnaudville, Louisiana and part of Little Flower Catholic School. It may look like a simple building to some but to many they see it as the work place of Servant of God Auguste "Nonco" Pelafigue. When I was a child my father worked in Arnaudville. I often saw signs advertising the plays and pageants that would be performed at this auditorium posted around the town. I loved acting and had participated in plays in my own school. Everyone told me the plays in Arnaudville at The Little Flower Auditorium were very different from the ones at the public school that I attended. Never did I dream that one day I would hear that the director of those plays' Cause For Canonization would be open!! Nonco was born in Beaucens, France January 10, 1888 but moved to Arnaudville, Louisiana as a very young boy with his family. He attended college in North Louisiana but returned to Arnaudville to teach at Little Flower Catholic School run by the Marianite Sisters of the Holy Cross. He was the only man working at the school and the only one without religious vows. He helped organize, write, and direct religious pagents and plays in this Auditorium!
