The colors of this statue are so gentle and soft that she seems to be a vision, or spirit. She is the most beautiful statue of the Virgin Mary that I have ever seen. Her hands are clasp in prayer and I feel it shows complete trust in God. It brings me great comfort to see that she is the same soft and gentle statue that my grandmother saw when she was a teenager and went to the blessing of the church by the bishop over 100 years ago.
