Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

As a young child I often crossed the big pasture that led from my aunt's to my grandmother's home. I can remember tripping over thistles in early spring when their spikey thorn filled leaves were just coming out. I'd get filled with cuts and a couple thorns and my grandmother would patch me up. My grandmother only spoke French and my parents insisted I only speak English. I can remember shaking my fist at those thorny leaves and my grandmother shaking her head at me. A few weeks later when the thistles bloomed I was mesmerized by their beauty. The plant is used as a substitute for celery and also for making tea by both Cajun and Creole people of Louisiana.
I am a Cajun-Creole grandmother who was raised in South Central Louisiana and I am trying to preserve my culture as well as the things I imagine. My Primitive Folk Art preserves the simple way of life that I love. I love my culture and the place where I live and I want to share it!! Watching over my father's shoulder is how I learned to paint. He did primitive folk art for local shops. I took several art classes in college as well as private lessons from some of Acadiana's finest artist beginning when my oldest child was in kindergarten.
