These flowers have always been among my favorite wild flower. They are small, about a half inch across. There pollen filled centers often left my nose yellow when I tried to sniff them as a child. These were the flowers we played "He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not" when I was a child. I still love using them in cut flower arrangements today.

I am a Cajun-Creole grandmother who was raised in South Central Louisiana and I am trying to preserve my culture as well as the things I imagine. My Primitive Folk Art preserves the simple way of life that I love. I love my culture and the place where I live and I want to share it!! Watching over my father's shoulder is how I learned to paint.
