Many in my family tell me we have royal blood. I have never done the genealogy to confirm this. I was always amused by the folk art style portraits that are found in castles. This is a fun self portrait of how I imagined the royal artist may have portrait me should my family be correct in saying we have royal blood.
Update- I have received word from my cousin that I do have royal blood and am a direct descendant of a king who reigned in the 1300s. It is funny how oral tradition of family stories can later be proven through DNA testing.

I am a Cajun-Creole grandmother who was raised in South Central Louisiana and I am trying to preserve my culture as well as the things I imagine.
