Description
The scaffolding and the beautiful statue be of Mary were both contrasting and similar. They contrast in that so many fear height and see the scaffolding as dangerous while they look to the Virgin Mary as a mother and protector. One can also see the similarities in that Mary is like a stairway to JESUS. Her "yes" to the Angel Gabriel was the key that brought JESUS to our world. This makes her like a stairway to heaven.
