Artist's Description
The Mary Jane is an engine that has been parked and on display in the town of Opelousas for decades. I remember visiting it in my childhood on the grounds of the parish courthouse. It was there that I brought my children also. It was moved to Le Vieux Village and it is where my grandchildren visit it.
Le Vieux Village is a small village created using historical buildings from St. Landry Parish. The village is located in Opelousas, Louisiana between the east and west bound lanes of highway 190.
About Seaux-N-Seau Soileau

Awesome capture of this engine Seaux! Reading your description ..on one of our visits to the Atchafalaya swamps were we rented a house boat there was a cabin cruiser moored to the jetty. The name on their boat was 'Opelousas'. I have a photo of the boat on my website! l/f/t
