I love both the traditions for Mardi Gras in Louisiana. I love the pageantry of the city Mardi Gras. The shiny necklaces are fun to catch. The costumes are exquisite!! The country Mardi Gras is filled with fun. Brightly colored costumed Mardi Gras runners chasing chickens to make a community gumbo!! Oh what fun it is to watch! This painting combines both the country and city traditions of Mardi Gras in Louisiana.
